A big thanks again to WomWorld for allowing me to trial a pre-sales version of the BH-703 bluetooth headset!!!
Because of this there isn’t any retail packaging to show you an unboxing, but I can tell you my initial thoughts and show you what has been provided in the package I have received!
Read on for more!!!
The headset looks great!!! It is one of the nicest looking bluetooth headsets I have seen! It is finished in a glossy black with a silver/chrome outline around the outside and multifunction button. It looks really modern and stylish! As soon as I took it out of its protective wrapper, my family all commented on how good it looked.
On the front face (below the multifunction button) is a touch sensitive volume control and I can’t wait to see how well that works in comparison to a standard volume rocker and how accurate it will be.
You can charge the headset via microUSB through a AC-6/DC-6 charger. However, I am using the CA-101 cable provided with the Nokia N82 and connected to the PC and this works just fine.
Just below the microUSB connector there is a little hole (you can just see above) which is where the status light is. I couldn’t find it at first, I was expecting it to be obvious like on other headsets and clearly visible, but once I knew where to find it I had no problem with its position.
As with other recent Nokia headsets, the light itself is not big at all and its location means you wont be able to see the flashing in the dark out of the corner of your eye.
In the package I received I had two extra earplugs – one small and one large so you can use one that has the best fit to your ear, an earloop (which I think personally think is the best type to hold bluetooth headsets sturdily on your ear) and a headset strap.
The Nokia BH-703 against the HS-64W bluetooth headset. As you can see, the earbud on the HS-64W is larger without any adaptors to change it and the BH-703 is slightly longer but thinner in design.
The headset is currently on charge at the moment so I will hopefully be able to have a play soon!!!
I will leave you for now with some tech specs of the device provided by Nokia and will post again soon will some more of my thoughts!
